Students On Broadway connects students with professional artists, actors, producers, musicians and choreographers who challenge and inspire them. Our goal is to provide students with a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Incorporating workshop(s) into a customized itinerary for your group boosts students’ confidence and sets them on a course for achievement.

Song and Dance

Learn a song and dance by expert Broadway Performers and Teaching Artists from the show of your choice! This exciting workshop engages participants of all levels in exploring the fundamentals of a professional rehearsal in a fun environment located in a prestigious Broadway rehearsal studio.

Leading-Edge Dance

Hone your dance skills with this tailored Broadway workshop for advanced dancers. Learn original material from the Broadway production, while gaining insider knowledge about the audition process and what the creative team is looking for.

Leading-Edge Singing

Learn what it takes to sing in a broadway chorus, by leading professionals in the industry. Learn original material from the Broadway production and discover how to create the “broadway sound” through specific vocal techniques for the musical theater genre.

Scene Study

Dive deep into script and score with this immersive masterclass. Learn from a leading Broadway professional how to interpret and block a scene while discovering how to make bold contextual choices. Participants will interact with scenes from Broadway shows, rehearsing and presenting these scenes with valuable feedback from instructors.

Improvisation

Break down the fear of improv by learning the key elements. Learn the techniques and rules of improv used on Saturday Night Live, Broadway, and live events. This workshop is facilitated by a industry professional from one of the leading schools of Improvisation in New York City!

Behind the Curtain

Led by a Broadway Production Stage Manager (PSM), learn what it takes to put on a show. In this round table discussion, you will learn tools of organization, note taking, script marking and communication techniques to improve your next production’s organization and collaboration.

Puppetry

This design workshop immerses participants into the increasingly relevant field of puppetry. Nearly every show on Broadway utilizes some form of puppets for storytelling. Learn the design process, different styles of puppetry and best practices in puppet manipulation.

Arts Education Professional Development

Aimed at arts education professionals, take some time to reflect on your core values as an artist.
